Drakkon, the Figurehead Pokémon

Once the figurehead of a lost ship, Drakkon now roams the sea as a relentless predator, feared by all Ghost Pokémon. It was originally carved as a ward against the spirits of the ocean, its jagged bone-like spikes intended to repel restless souls and protect sailors from hauntings. But something went horribly wrong. The guardian became the predator, and now Drakkon does not keep ghosts away—it hunts them down, drains them, and erases them completely.

Its spikes serve a dual purpose, radiating a ghostly energy that both wards off weaker spirits and entraps those strong enough to resist. Any spectral being that comes too close finds itself ensnared, unable to escape the moment Drakkon pierces through its form. The spikes do not simply wound—they extract and trap ghostly essence, preventing its victims from reforming. Once its prey is weakened, Drakkon finishes the hunt with its glowing fangs, clamping down and consuming whatever remains of their spectral energy.

Despite its fragmented wooden form, Drakkon is terrifyingly fast. It moves like a phantom tide, weaving through thick sea fog with unnatural grace. The ropes that still bind its body constantly shift, tightening to hold its broken figure together when damaged, then loosening as it coils and strikes. The more spirits it consumes, the brighter its spectral glow becomes, as if the stolen energy is barely contained within its ancient frame.

Sailors whisper of an eerie silence that falls before Drakkon appears, as if even the ocean itself fears its presence. The mist thickens, the waves still, and the wind dies. Then, from within the fog, a shape emerges—coiling, gliding, its spectral spikes glowing like ghostly lanterns in the darkness. Those who have seen this sight rarely live to describe what comes next. When the mist clears, nothing remains. No bodies. No shipwrecks. Just the sea, as if nothing had ever been there at all.

Though it preys upon other ghost Pokémon, it has no interest in the living. To Drakkon, spectral energy is simply fuel, and weaker ghost Pokémon are nothing more than prey to be consumed. But this hunger is not driven by rage or vengeance. Drakkon does not hunt out of hatred—it hunts because it knows nothing else. It was carved to ward off spectral forces, but its fate twisted into something far worse. It has become the ultimate predator of its own kind, feared even by ghost Pokémons who believed themselves untouchable.

Drakkon never leaves the sea. It lurks in fog-covered waters, stalking the depths for ghost Pokémon that drift too close to the surface. Some believe it follows the currents, patrolling ancient shipwrecks where spectral energy lingers. Others claim it seeks out the strongest ghost Pokémon, challenging them in relentless hunts beneath the waves. Whether it strikes from the ocean’s depths or emerges through the mist, one thing is certain: no ghost Pokémon that enters its domain is safe.
