Beneath the moonless night sky, the coastline glows like a starry abyss—countless Stalinck, delicate gelatinous starfish, gather on the shore, drawn by an instinct they do not understand. By dawn, only their glass-like cores remain, scattered across the sand.

Among the scavengers that roam these shores, Sandcrust, the Shore Burrower, unknowingly collects Stalinck’s fallen remains, adorning its shell with their smooth, luminescent cores. While most remain unaffected, those that interact too closely with living Stalinck tissue become hosts to something far more insidious.

From this unnatural fusion emerges Dreadcrust, the Infected Shore Burrower—a grotesque, corrupted form overtaken by Stalinck’s glowing tendrils. Its cracked shell seeps with gelatinous appendages, its eyes replaced by pulsing Stalinck-like stalks, its instincts rewritten by a force beyond its control. No longer a cautious scavenger, it attacks without reason, its purpose unknown.
